I'm James and I was inspired to create the company after working for many years in the UK home furnishings industry with brands that cover furniture, upholstery, home accessories and kitchens. As the furnishings landscape has evolved so too have customers' needs. Having had many conversations over the years I learned that people want easy access to stylish, good value and high-quality furniture and they want a no hassle experience from end to end. MalletandPlane.com gets its name from the tools of the carpenter, so it’s no surprise that one of our main materials is wood. Not only natural but also naturally beautiful and sustainable, we focus on wood as a major material in our products. We also focus on innovative design solutions, as seen in our sofa-in-a-box range of upholstery, along with quality craftsmanship and speedy fulfilment.
